Stephanie F. Lenchard-Warren (SFLW) is an interdisciplinary artist who weaves together narratives through illustration, writing, and song. She is interested in the bridge between the conscious and subconscious, and how the dream state relates to our constructs of reality. Her work exists somewhere between the two, layering the lens of the inner child and wise adult to create a dark, fantastical world that explores themes such as life and death, scars and healing, trauma and self-autonomy, and connections within and out of the self.

Stephanie came out of the womb with a pen in her hand and an insatiable curiosity for the world. She earned a scholarship to attend the School of the Art Institute of Chicago’s Early College Program at the age of 16 and went on to obtain her BFA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, where she drew inspiration from studies in botany, literature, anatomy, and world mythologies.

SFLW holds various awards in art, writing, and music, and has shown across the USA in places including Chicago, Washington DC, and Santa Fe. She currently lives in Chicago.
