Partners Program Social Worker and Staff Therapist

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Director of TCH Mental Health Services, the Partners Program Social Worker and Staff Therapist will be responsible for delivery of mental health and wellness services with a focus on youth, families and individuals across the communities served by The Community House (TCH).  This role includes a focus on the Partners Program services to the low-income community of Willowbrook Corner, in addition to providing direct counseling services, family and group education, needs assessments and referrals for clients of TCH Mental Health Services.

Based in Hinsdale and serving the surrounding area, The Community House is a multi-service organization which provides recreation and cultural activities, counseling and therapeutic services focused on mental health and autism support, education support, and volunteer opportunities.  The vision of TCH mental health services is to offer a range of direct counseling and therapy, as well as workshops, educational offerings and mindfulness resources to youth, families and seniors in southeastern DuPage County.

Volunteer Camp Assistant
The Volunteer Camp Assistant will be responsible for interacting with students every day.  They will be conducting ice breaker games before leaving for each location.  At each site, the VC Assistant will provide leadership during the entire time, as well as riding in the van each way.  On the last day of each week of Volunteer Camp, the VC Assistant will lead the discussion and evaluation of the camp experience.

Dates:      June 12-15  June 19-22  June 26-29
Times:      9:00 am-12:00 noon
Pay Rate: $10.00 per hour

Director of TCH Mental Health Services

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director of TCH Mental Health Services will be responsible for mental health and wellness services with a focus on youth, families and individuals across the communities served by The Community House (TCH).  This role leads services including: the Counseling Center, Charlie’s Gift program for children and families impacted by Autism and related sensory disorders, Partners Program social work services at Willowbrook Corner, and new outreach programming focused on youth and parents’ mental wellness.

Summer Employment Opportunities

The Community House is seeking energetic individuals to work with children at our summer day camps.

We are staffing for a counselor for our Willowbrook Corner location:

  1. Summer Camp Counselor at Willowbrook Corner Summer Learning Program, Willowbrook beginning June 12th-August 4th with training June 5th. Applicants must be able to work approximately 20-40 hours per week from 8 am – 6 pm older. As a Day Camp Counselor you will plan and implement lesson plans and activities, and provide assistance to the Program Coordinator and Group Leaders. In this position, you will strive to provide the campers with a fun environment that is positive, supervised, and safe while providing campers the opportunity to practice and develop appropriate social skills, and learn to make responsible choices. Will supervise campers daily, during scheduled weekly swimming activities, and during field trips generally scheduled every Friday.
