The Community House and the LyArts Program are proud to host Stage Door Fine Arts as our resident theater company.

Stage Door Fine Arts has established themselves as the premier educational theater company in our community, enriching the lives of youth and young adults through music, art and theater. Stage Door provides participants with professional, disciplined education, while promoting creativity, self expression, and self esteem building.

The enchanting modern classic from Disney is coming to our stage! Frozen. is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna, and the magical land of Arendelle to life. A story of true love and acceptance between sisters, Frozen expands upon the emotional relationship and journey between Princesses Anna and Elsa. When faced with danger, the two discover their hidden potential and the powerful bond of sisterhood. With a cast of beloved characters and loaded with magic, adventure, and plenty of humor, Frozen is sure to thaw even the coldest heart!


Adapted from Fey’s hit 2004 film, Mean Girls! Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the wild and vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois. How will this naïve newbie rise to the top of the popularity pecking order? By taking on The Plastics, a trio of lionized frenemies led by the charming but ruthless Regina George. But when Cady devises a plan to end Regina’s reign, she learns the hard way that you can’t cross a queen bee without getting stung.

Don Smith and Paula Taylor established Stage Door Fine Arts with the goal of providing a theatrical outlet for children of all ages that stretches beyond the average elementary, middle, or high school level.  Both share a great passion for arts and education, and have extensive experience in performing and directing throughout the United States.
