Shooting Stars Basketball League (D180)

The League is open to children living within School District 180 boundaries

This new league is the perfect way for 1^st-8^th graders to learn the fundamentals of the game or improve their skills through practice and gameplay. The focus of the league is instruction, learning the game, and having fun so that all kids of all ability levels can learn to enjoy the game of basketball.

Ages: 1^st-8^th grade boys and girls
Dates: 10/17-12/16

1^st grade boys and girls (COED)
2^nd grade boys
2^nd grade girls
3^rd grade boys
3^rd grade girls
4^th grade boys
4^th grade girls
5^th/6^th grade boys
5^th/6^th grade girls
7^th/8^th grade boys
7^th/8^th grade girls

Volunteer Coaches

Volunteers coaches needed at all grade levels! We allow 2 coaches per team. A coaches meeting will be held prior to the season starting.

Teams Formation:

Teams will be separated by age group (Age levels may be combined depending on the number registered) and formed by The Community House Recreation Staff. We do not guarantee any team formation requests.

Practices:

Will begin the week of October 17^th (no practices the week of Thanksgiving)
Practices are held once per week
Practice days and time are dependent on the availability of volunteer coaches
We cannot guarantee any certain practice days or time
All practices will be held at AMJE or BRMS

Games:

One game per week scheduled on Saturday’s (11/4-12/16 – No Games on Thanksgiving weekend)
All games be held at AMJE or BRMS
All players receive a league shirt/jersey
