Check out all of our virtual sports offerings! From preschool soccer to STEM Sports, we have just the right classes to keep your kids active at home! Below you will find registration links and class information so you can choose the sports class that’s best for your child!


Breakaway Basketball

Getting better does not happen after doing something 1 time. The biggest gains will be made by those who are taking what they are learning and doing a little extra on their own. WORKING HARD while no one else is watching is a big key to becoming your best. We want to be able to teach, inspire, motivate and most importantly connect with your children during these different times. The skills we teach will be great but the interaction of Coach Greg leading and being assisted by 6 Breakaway coaches in every class will be just as important. These classes will be 45 minutes in length.

Equipment needed: All players will need 1 or 2 basketballs depending on the class, a place to dribble, and some water.

Sports Kids

PARENT & CHILD STORIES N’ SPORTS
Ages: 3-5 years w/ parent

Parent participation is needed. Jump into the world of sports and literature through this exciting virtual class! Children, with the help of their parents, will enjoy a mind-awakening story, learn body challenging sports skills and enjoy some social time each week. Our curriculum helps families get active and have fun…at home! Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have your own indoor or outdoor space with room to play each time class meets.
Supplies Needed: 1 Soccer ball and 1 basketball (or any ball that you can kick or bounce), 1 laundry basket, 2 tennis balls (or any small balls or balled up socks), 4 cones (or empty soda bottles, plastic cups, etc.), 1 scarf, 2 paper/plastic plates (or frisbee), 1 baseball mitt (if available), 1 broom (or hockey stick), and 1 indoor or outdoor chair.

KICKS FOR KIDS SOCCER SKILLS @ HOME

Ages: 6-10 years

Stuck inside? Join us for this virtual class that will kick your soccer game into gear! Learn how to develop excellent soccer skills such as dribbling, balance, shooting, ball control, foot/eye coordination and agility so you can become a more confident player. This digital class will allow kids to see their teammates and work directly with the coach. Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have an area that is roughly 10 x 10.

Equipment Needed: 1 soccer ball (or any ball that you can kick), 1 laundry basket or cardboard box, and 4 cones (or empty soda bottles, water bottles, plastic cups/bowls).

 

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL SKILLS & cONDITIONING @ Home

Ages: 7-10 years

Stuck inside? Go yard in your backyard in this fun virtual class! We will provide 30-minute sessions that focus on bat grip, swing path, throwing techniques, pitcher grips, fielding skills and more. A variety of dynamic exercises that use the lower half, core and upper half of the body will be taught with the focus on improving agility, range of motion, strength, flexibility and body control. Wear your favorite team’s cap and be ready to improve your game! Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have an open area that is roughly 10 x 10. Instructor: SportsKids Inc. Equipment Needed: 2 baseballs (or tennis balls, any small balls), 1 laundry basket or cardboard box, 4 cones (or empty soda bottles, plastic cups/bowls, water bottles), 1 bat (or something to simulate a bat), 1 mitt (if available), chalk, 1 flat base (can cut one out of cardboard), and 1 indoor or outdoor chair.
Ready to get back to the basketball court at the gym or park but can’t? No need to worry! We will help you hone your ball handling, footwork, shooting form and other basketball skills as you “Zoom” with us at home. This interactive virtual class experience allows boys and girls to develop at their own pace with lots of encouragement and a big focus on FUN! SUPER SPORTS SAMPLER @ Home

Calling all young athletes! Get up, get moving and join us for an interactive and fun virtual sports class. Participants work on the fundamentals of soccer, track & field, basketball and more to keep active and athletic while they are at home. Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have your own indoor or outdoor space with room to move around each time class meets. Instructor: SportsKids Inc. Online Zoom class.

Staying at home doesn’t mean you can’t continue to hone your lacrosse skills! Join our virtual class to work on cradling, scooping, dodging, face-offs, and other offensive and defensive lacrosse fundamentals. Players will also learn strength and conditioning exercises to help them develop proper mechanics to be effective lacrosse players. Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have an open area that is roughly 10 x 10. Instructor: SportsKids Inc. Online Zoom class.

TRACK, FIELD, AND FITNESS @ Home

Turn off the tv, stand up and get moving in this fun at home virtual class! Boys and girls will learn the jumping, running and throwing skills involved in the sport of track and field. We will also focus on everything from enhancing agility to strength training so that kids learn the importance of exercise for a happy, healthy lifestyle. Please wear comfortable clothes, gym shoes, and make sure you have an open area that is roughly 10 x 10. Instructor: SportsKids Inc. Online Zoom class.

Parent/Child Tracksters @ Home

Run and jump into this unique class that will combine stretching, movement, and fitness concepts with jumping, running, throwing, and other skills used in track and field. Kids, with the help of their parents, can follow along with our instructors to learn to do jumping jacks, squats, stretches and other fitness activities while focusing on getting exercise and having fun as a family. Activities help increase listening skills, coordination, self-esteem and confidence while focusing on being FUN!
