DICK JOHNSON PERFORMING ARTS FUND
ON SEPTEMBER, 9, 2021, THE COMMUNITY HOUSE WAS HONORED TO DEDICATE OUR KETTERING HALL STAGE IN HONOR OF DICK JOHNSON.
Dick Johnson, was an award winning journalist who was the recipient of many prestigious awards including a Chicago Emmy Award, the duPont-Columbia University Award, and the Peabody Award. Dick was beloved by his family, friends, colleagues, and the public.
While the greater Chicagoland area watched Dick report the news on NBC 5, at The Community House, we had the distinct pleasure of having him as a part of our family, as a Life Trustee, a founder of The Community House Players and Community Revue, and a passionate supporter of our arts programming. For over 20 years we were honored and in awe of the work Dick did in support of The Community House. His legacy and generosity are an integral part of our history, and we will always be grateful for the contributions he made to our community.
You can help us ensure Dick Johnson’s legacy lives on at The Community House by supporting the Dick Johnson Performing Arts Fund. All proceeds raised will directly benefit current and future theater offerings at The Community House and help to maintain The Dick Johnson Memorial Stage.
We know Dick would appreciate this fund-raising effort to ensure our theater can maintain its high standards.
