As required by Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Public Health, beginning today, everyone over the age of 2 will be required to wear masks in public indoor settings – regardless of vaccination status due to increased COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates in Illinois.
This state mandate applies to indoor spaces such as stores, restaurants, businesses, and government buildings, in addition to facilities with mask mandates already in place, such as schools and healthcare facilities.
In coordination with the mandate:
- All visitors to The Community House, older than age 2 will be required to wear a mask inside.
- TCH employees will be required to wear a mask within our facility, except when they can consistently maintain 6 feet of distance (such as when they are in their office or cubicle space).
- If a visitor does not have a face mask with them when entering, we will make a disposable mask available for them.
COVID-19 vaccines are readily available for anyone age 12 and older through local pharmacies and at the DuPage County Health Department Community Vaccination Clinic at 111 N. County Farm Road in Wheaton. The Community House encourages the community to get the COVID-19 vaccine to help stop the spread of the virus. For more information or to find a location near you, please see DuPage County Health Department’s website.
We appreciate your help in keeping our community healthy and slowing the spread of COVID-19.
