Kid’s programming has been one of the most important aspects of what the Community House offers. They provide a place where children learn, thrive, practice teamwork and have fun. From basketball to theater, music to art, dance to camp and after-school activities, the Community House’s kid’s programming enriches the community.
In order to help the kid’s programing continue to impact children from the local suburbs, the Community House will be holding the second annual Hinsdale Community 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on Sunday, Aug. 23. This all-day Tournament is open to players in fourth grade and up.
Men and women are encouraged to grab some friends and form a team. There will also be many fun-filled family activities such as kid’s games, inflatables in the park and a dunk tank! All proceeds raised benefit kids programs at the Community House.
The Community House offers hundreds of opportunities for people of all ages each year ranging from athletics, to the arts, summer camps to after school programs and everything in-between. While registration fees pay for our individual classes, the 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament raises money so we can make improvements to our programming through larger purchases like improved seating for our basketball leagues, facility upgrades for our after-school program or updated software for our graphic design classes.
To register your team, please log onto www.thecommunityhouse.org, or stop in to register at 415 W. Eighth St. in Hinsdale.

Not a player? Bring your lawn chair and enjoy a day of basketball, food and fun.
The Community House has been a beloved local resource since 1943, and kids programs are the backbone of what we do. The support from our neighbors helps us continue to enhance and strengthen programs for children and families.
