Individual Therapy Services
Behavioral Therapy & Mental Health Counseling:
Charlie’s Gift counseling team offers assessments and treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, couples and families who are challenged by autism spectrum, anxiety, depression and other related disorders.
The therapy team uses a variety of techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and behavioral therapy, while incorporating a family centered team approach in their work.
The occupational therapy team offers assessments and treatment for fine motor development and visual perception skills, sensory processing and integration and uses programs to help children develop self-regulation.
Speech and Language Therapy:
The speech therapy team offers assessments and treatment for expressive language and social communication development using a variety of intervention techniques including play therapy, games, the Picture Exchange System, and iPAD’s.
Groups are a great way to have fun with others, help improve social-communication development, attention span, self regulation, and build confidence and self esteem in children and young adults with autism spectrum and related disorders.
Groups that run throughout the year include:
“Kids Club” for children ages 7 to 9
“Circle of Friends” for children ages 10 to 13
“Teen Club” for adolescents aged 14-16
